globalpost:

Senior Correspondent Dan Peleschuk captured some of the increasingly dystopian-looking scenes in Kyiv, Ukraine Friday.

He shot this incredible 360-degree view from the epicenter of the protests in Kyiv.

And took these 9 gritty photos of life as a Kyiv protester

KYIV, Ukraine — Ivan Moroz says he’s always considered himself a peaceful man, but there’s only so much he can take.

After the death of at least three protesters amid violent clashes with police in Kyiv this week — on top of widespread reports of police abuse against activists — the soft-spoken 40-year-old construction worker says he left his two children at home in western Ukraine to man the barricades in the capital.

And he’s not leaving anytime soon.

“If I could, I’d hire hit men to take care of [President Viktor] Yanukovych,” he says.

Similar sentiments are growing among protesters here since their two-month-long demonstrations erupted into unprecedented violence last week, initially fueled by the passage of a sweeping anti-protest law.

More recently, the shooting deaths of two protesters by police and the apparent abduction and murder of another have consolidated the popular rage and forged a stronger resolve, increasingly radicalizing even once moderate protesters.

Little surprise, then, that after Yanukovych announced a batch of planned concessions on Friday — including reshuffling his government — many here said they’d settle for nothing less than a wholesale change of power.

“When two gentlemen come together, that’s a compromise,” said Petro Turchyn, a 72-year-old pensioner from Kyiv. “But if it’s a criminal versus normal people, what kind of compromise is that?”

Nancy Grace, Asshole of the Day for January 19, 2014
by TeaPartyCat (Follow @TeaPartyCat)
Today President Obama said “I don’t think [pot] is more dangerous than alcohol.” He went on to say that:

"Middle-class kids don’t get locked up for smoking pot, and poor kids do," he said. "And African-American kids and Latino kids are more likely to be poor and less likely to have the resources and the support to avoid unduly harsh penalties."

So when Nancy Grace starts ranting about “people on pot that shoot each other, that stab each other, that strangle each other, that kill whole families — wipe out a whole family”, it’s hard not to hear her spewing lies to support a system and lies that incarcerate minorities. Take a look at this in context:

Sensing an opportunity, Grace responded, “in a nutshell, could you say why you think marijuana should be legalized — because, I mean, you know it’s addictive, highly addictive.”
Tvert replied that “marijuana’s addictive properties have been found to be actually pretty mild compared to alcohol and tobacco, and even caffeine.”
“So you — you are admitting it is addictive,” Grace interjected.
“Yes,” Tvert replied, “so is sex, so are video games.”
“So you’re admitting it! You’re admitting it!”
After Tvert calmed Grace down by pointing out that many recreational users are “normal people, just like you, who enjoy using marijuana for the same reason people enjoy having a drink after work,” Grace again interrupted him.
“The reason I’m against legalization is that I’ve seen too many felonies — felonies — and I don’t mean pot sales or growing pot,” she continued. “I mean people on pot that shoot each other, that stab each other, that strangle each other, that kill whole families — wipe out a whole family.”

Her guest tries to lead her away from this crazy talk, but of course Nancy Grace didn’t get to be Nancy Grace by listening to other people. Nope, she just keeps going. And, as I said earlier, given that what she’s saying is NOT TRUE, that pot doesn’t make people more violent, and that she has a responsibility to know what the fuck she’s talking about, she might as well have said:

“The reason I’m against legalization is that I’ve seen too many felonies — felonies — and I don’t mean pot sales or growing pot,” she continued. “I mean people on pot black people that shoot each other, that stab each other, that strangle each other, that kill whole families — wipe out a whole family.”

Or, instead of being racist, maybe she’s just a huge pothead, since we know that paranoia is one of the actual side effects of too much pot smoking. But whether racist or a closet stoner, I think we can all agree that this outburst makes Nancy Grace the Asshole of the Day.
It is Nancy Grace’s first time as Asshole of the Day.

3gs of iso. To clear something up, when regarding color of oil darker oil is not always worse, yes it does contain more waxes/chlorophyll since cannaboids are colorless solids at room temp. But color over all does not give much indication of cannaboid profile or purity. Color has more do do with the solvent used. For example butane is a non polar solvent only readily breakingdown other non polar chemicals/compounds while isopropyl alcohol is a polar solvent breaking down both polar and non polar substances. In a nut shell with iso it grabs everything all cannaboids alot of wax and chlorophyl and all the yummy terpins. While butane only breaksdown specifics chemicals (mostly thc and thc-a) very little wax or chlor is broken down hence the lighter color of tane to to iso, but iso gets all of the cannboids delivering a much fuller range of medical effects but its darker. Hope that clears some stuff up.
